Graphic for Annual Longboard Competition along Redwood Coast in far Northern California
Description
Redwood Parks Conservancy is hosting the Annual Longboard Classic Surf Competition in Crescent City, CA and we need an amazing graphic for use on shirts, cups, water bottles, posters, and other marketing materials. This event is a fundraiser for the North Coast Junior Lifeguards, a summer lifeguard and aquatic safety program for local kids.
Event details for graphic:
Redwood Parks Conservancy presents the Annual Longboard Classic Surf Competition
Saturday & Sunday, September 28th & 29th 2024
Crescent City, CA
Creative direction: Retro, graphic, 60s/70s, bright colors preferred, needs to be specifically longboard focused (not just surfing), surfer themes, Bill Graham posters, Endless Summer poster (love the colors). If surfers are depicted they need to represent diversity via multiple cultures, men and women, young and old, etc. As the event takes place on the redwood coast, it could be great to show redwoods and/or our rugged coastline. Something along the lines of the poster attached that says Noll Classic (former iteration of the competition) would be most ideal.
I've attached some references below. A really great poster from year's past, a logo the local surf shop said would sell really well, Bill Graham posters, etc.
About us:
Redwood Parks Conservancy (RPC) is the official non-profit partner of Redwood National & State Parks, Smith River National Recreation Area, Tolowa Dunes State Park, Sue-Meg State Park, Fort Humboldt State Park and other public lands along California’s far north coast. RPC’s mission is to foster understanding, enjoyment, and stewardship by providing support to its partner agencies – the National Park Service, California State Parks, and the U.S. Forest Service– all of whom are entrusted with the care of northern California’s public lands.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
